Department of Scientific Affairs constitutes an integral part of the organizational structure of Al-Zahraa University for Women, operating under the management of Mr. Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs. This department oversees and coordinates scientific affairs within the university, bearing the responsibilities in the scientific domain in close collaboration with the Planning and Studies, Quality Assurance, Academic Performance departments, as well as Missions and Cultural Relations.

he Department of Scientific Affairs comprises two main divisions: the Scientific Research Department and the Scientific Products Marketing Department. Additionally, it includes two important units: the Government Program Unit and the Scientific Journals Unit. The department's responsibilities encompass ensuring the implementation of the annual scientific plan for the colleges and research centers affiliated with Al-Zahraa University for Women. It also involves monitoring conferences, seminars, and scientific workshops. Furthermore, the department oversees the marketing of scientific products to relevant ministries through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Additionally, the department facilitates procedures for patent registration and handles matters related to scientific dedication and specialized professors.
